My roommate has a problem with cleaning. They never do the dishes, and if the trash needs to be taken out, it always ends up being my responsibility. I would talk to the CA about it, but it’s so close to the end of the semester, that it feels like it would be ridiculous to bring it up now. What should I do? I don’t want to make a huge deal out of it, but with finals getting close, I can’t stand to work in such a messy room.

A friend of mine once dealt with a similar problem and ended up just handling her mess. She washed her own dishes, threw away her trash separately and cleaned up her own messes.
She refused to be responsible for what her roommates did. And when moveout time gets closer, it might be a good time to bring it up to your CA, just in case your roommates leave a mess behind when they leave. But for now, let your roommates know that you aren’t their parent and just worry about yourself.
