Dear Filly,
How do I properly check-out of housing?
Sincerely,
Confused Carrot
Dear Carrot,
It’s the time of the year when, on top of the finals stress, on-campus students have to worry about hw they’re going to move all their earthly belongings back home – and what steps ABAC needs them to take before they leave.
I personally do not know much about proper checkout procedure (I am a horse), so I reached out to a friend of the paper for her best advice:
First, check your school email regularly. Housing will send an email out to on-campus students with details about check-out times and requirements closer to the end of the semester.
The day you check out, you will need to have your room and common areas cleared of your belongings and trash. Then, you contact an RA (either at Town Hall or Lakeside) to inspect your room and collect your key.
If your room is not clean enough, of if you do not have your hard key, you will most likely (almost certainly), probably, definitely be fined for it.
