Hollywood’s elite turned the 2024 Golden Globe Awards into a runway of style that left spectators wondering who was the best dressed. From timeless classics to bold fashion statements, the star-studded affair showcased the fashion-forward choices of our favorite celebrities.
Taylor Swift left fans in awe of her green gown embellished with sequins by Gucci’s Sabato De Sarno. The “Eras Tour” star was nominated for cinematic and box office achievement for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”
Swift’s jewelry totaled more than 33 carats of white diamonds and is probably worth more than my house. Her look was elegantly finished with Christian Louboutin’s Kate stiletto pump in green leather.
This look was elegant yet sexy on the star, and it is a personal favorite look of hers. The green outfit left Swifties speculating whether the artist would soon release her “Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)” due to its resemblance to the 2006 album.
Margot Robbie wore a stunning Giorgio Armani gown. The “Barbie” star’s dress was hot pink and embellished with sequins. She had a layer of pink polka-dot tulle draped around her arms.
Honestly, a dress like this is incredibly tacky. Given Robbie’s brand from “Barbie,” she pulled it off well. The dress was inspired by a “Superstar Barbie” doll from 1977.
Due to the Writers Guild of America strike, Robbie still wears outfits from her “Barbie” tour. She was a part of the strike and could not do a world tour as intended, so she has been channeling her inner Barbie at several award shows.
Robbie was wearing Lorraine Schwart’s jewelry. The actress wore a 33-carat ring of white and pink diamonds valued at over $3 million.
At awards shows, men do not typically catch my eye. They usually wear a simple suit and tie with no pizzazz. Women have more fun with silhouettes in dresses and fun jewelry.
Colman Domingo proved my generalization wrong. The Golden Globe-nominated star of “Rustin” was dressed in a two-piece Louis Vuitton suit. The best part of his suit was the beautiful pair of brooches he wore. His outfit was simplistic yet unique.
Domingo wore a ring that belonged to Civil Rights activist Bayard Rustin. Rustin worked heavily with Philip Randolph, who gave the ring to Domingo.
“I am at the Golden Globes representing this incredible man and his legacy,” Domingo posted to Instagram.
Pink was popular at the 2024 Golden Globes, but Hailee Steinfeld styled the color best. Prada dressed the actress in a halter-neck gown with a unique train. The neckline was embellished with crystals.
The look was accented with black gloves and jewelry by Maison Boucheron. The main thing that draws me to this outfit is its elegance. It reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” with Steinfeld’s classy updo.
Dua Lipa wore Schiaparelli and looked gorgeous in the dress. She wore a black mermaid-style dress with gold lines on her torso, resembling a skeleton. Her gaudy gold and platinum necklace was a 1962 piece from Tiffany and Co.
The singer was nominated for her song “Dance the Night,” which was featured in “Barbie.” While her gown was incredibly classy, it was simultaneously a statement piece, and that is what made it stick out.
The best thing about award shows is that our favorite celebrities receive awards for their hard work and extravagant outfits. Award ceremonies have become fashion shows; I don’t believe anyone is mad about it.
