ABAC Health Center Director/Family Nurse Practitioner

Do you know that ABAC campus has a Health Center if you feel under the weather or need a sports/nursing physical for ABAC? It surely does and is on the first floor in the Health Science building. It is there to meet your acute health care needs. The Health Center is staffed with experienced individuals with various medical backgrounds. The Director of the Health Care Center and the Provider is Ms. Cheryl Solomon a Family Nurse Practitioner who has over 40 years of health care background and 8 years of practicing in urgent care and family practice. Ms. Kimberly Baldwin a RN has over 29 years of nursing. Ms. Anita White the Health Center’s Administrative Assistant has 28 years of experience in her role. Dr Marcus Roberts Medical Director with over 30 years of health care experience.

Concerned about coming to the Health Center due to not having health coverage such as insurance? Not a problem! Insurance accepted but not required. Your visit will be covered by your student health fee you pay each semester whether you live on campus or a commuter.

In the event you need labs/tests/ medical supplies, and medications, this will be low cost to you. If unable to pay at the time of visit, you may put it on your stallion account and pay when you can by the end of the semester. There is no balance billing. You can come as many times as needed if you are enrolled as a student for that semester.

To be seen at the Health Center, it is highly encouraged to make an appointment during our office hours at 229-391-5030. Walk-ins are welcome but again, appointments are highly advised. The Health Center hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 8:00am – 5:00pm and on Fridays from 8:00am- 12:00pm. We encourage you to seek local clinics that are listed on the ABAC website under the Health Center for afterhours service. These clinics will not be covered by the health fee but there in the event of an emergency or urgent event requiring immediate attention. In any emergency, please call 911.

The ABAC Health Center wants to relay to you that it is here for you to provide priority care when you are not feeling well!

(To inquire what services Health Center can and cannot provide, please see the ABAC website for the Health Center)
