A brand-new investment club is in the works of being inducted into ABAC’s Stafford School of Business. Advised by Dr. Yasemin Atinc, the club intends to teach students about the importance of investing, how to invest, and the impact investing can have on your future. The Investment club is being created so students can gain hands-on experience in a safe environment.
The investment club has been in the works for years within Stafford, with many of the business professors coming together to make it happen. The club has recently received a $25,000 investment to get started here at ABAC. Two new stock tickers will be installed in Lewis Hall’s lounge area for students and faculty to keep up with Stock Market updates.
Students in the club will learn to invest through being given their own stocks to use and play around with. The investment club intends to teach students the art of investing through lectures and panels rather than hosting the typical club events like game or movie nights. This club is laser focused on giving students hands-on experience and providing guidance to those looking to invest early. Prospective members are required to commit serious dedication, commitment, and a willingness to invest their time and effort into the club.
The only way this is to succeed is if the club is supported well by students–so be on the lookout for further updates regarding Investment
Club.
