Tifton’s ABAC campus hosted a spring Club Rush, giving clubs an additional opportunity to come out and showcase what they are about. The first time this event is held is in the fall, so having a spring edition is a great way to kick off the spring semester!

This club rush allowed the 60+ clubs present on campus to advertise to the one of the largest freshman classes admitted again. The first year on campus can be so stressful, so getting a second chance to advertise was something club leaders jumped at. The Stallion chose to spotlight a choice few.

For example, the Agricultural Engineering and Technology Club. Club President Travis Lommerse was eager to advertise that the AET Club
“gives you the opportunity to get your hands dirty in an engine” and that’s something only ABAC can provide. The AET Club hosts the Truck and Tractor pull every year as well. The Helping Professions Association / Active Minds association “gives students an opportunity to
connect with one another and also learn more about how to manage their own stress, which is something I think we all experience and struggle with navigating during our time here” says President Ashton Fulp. ABAC’s Wildlife Society hosts the popular Beast Feast each spring
semester and brings “the outdoor education that we get to give to other people around campus that really don’t know much about the wildlife here in the Southeast” says social media manager Sena Stanfield. The Education Club is also coveted on campus, and with the introduction of the Elementary Education program at ABAC, it’s value has increased! Bringing “everyone that has a passion for education” together, no matter your major, “this club is for you” says Club President Breanna Harris. One of the largest draws to campus is the Student Government Association. Stafford School of Business Senator Thelma Licona emphasizes how SGA is a student voice, saying that the
association is “here to be that bridge between the students and staff, to make things better here, and make it a positive place for students to learn and grow.”
