The Georgia Museum of Agriculture (GMA) held their annual Terror on the Tracks event with a new twist this year. The event started with
a 10-minute train ride, followed by a 10-minute walk through the woods.

Clubs that were represented in the trail as scare actors included, the Forestry Club, Rodeo Club, Collegiate FFA, Alpha Gamma Rho, and Cultura Latinx Club all competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.
Amanda Dow, the auxiliary project support specialist, has been a part of the event since the first haunted trail event.
“We came up with the idea of adding the train ride as a part of the event this year. Adding the train does limit the tickets we can sell versus just having the walk,” said Dow.

Brandy Lott said, “Towards the end was really scary. The train ride was nice, but it would have been nice to see actors jump at you. It seems to be getting better every year.”
Christina Hobbs also felt indifferent from the train ride. “It was scary and fun. I wanted to see more scares on the train,” said Hobbs. Levi Hicks said, “It wasn’t bad having someone with me. There were a few times that I jumped. The train really built up the suspense for the
walk.”
Dow said, “We must think about safety and logistics of it being possible to scare people on the train ride. We didn’t want too many people getting scared too early.”

Inside the Peanut Museum was the new light show depicting classic Halloween themes, including singing pumpkins.
Lights are also planned for other holiday seasons.
“We also have a Christmas light show coming. Every year we hope to add more and potentially reach a drive through light show,” said Dow.
Potential plans for future Halloween events include turning the Peanut Museum into a haunted house. There are more haunted attractions offered around the area that are just as thrilling as the GMA.
Pavo Haunted House is one of the well-known Halloween attractions to the area. Just under an hour away from ABAC, the address is 2061 W
McDonald Street. Find their website at pavohauntedhouse.com.
In Albany, Georgia, The Haunted Forest is slightly closer at 40 minutes away from campus. Their address is 3920 Fleming Road, and they update their annual information through their Facebook account.
Zekeial Lott came the first year the Terror on the Tracks event was held. He said, “It wasn’t too scary, but it got me at the end. I went to the
previous year’s trail. I would come back next year. It’s fun to have here for Halloween.”
