Students, faculty, and families filled the front lawn at ABAC for its annual Fall Carnival. This event featured a variety of activities ranging from a carnival ride, which was the biggest activity there, and pumpkin painting, as well as delicious fair food like hot chocolate, BBQ sandwiches, and funnel cakes.
Several clubs and organizations, including the Student Government Association, History and Government Club, Rodeo Club, Forestry club, and more, had the chance to show off their Halloween spirit by partaking in Trunk or Treat and decorating their booths or trucks, giving out candy or hosting games for players to win candy.
Halloween also serves a different meaning to others in regard to drunk driving during Halloween. A drunk
driving awareness course involved students driving a pedal kart while also wearing alcohol impairment goggles over their eyes while also trying to drive in between cones scattered all over the pavement.
Joel Vasquez, a freshman at ABAC, said their favorite part of the Fall Carnival was “having a good time with friends while also helping Cultura Latinx Club give out candy to people. I really enjoyed seeing all the unique costumes all night.”
This event served as a break from a stressful semester and more of a relaxing way for students to spend some time with friends and family and dress up as their favorite characters. While the Fall Carnival is an annual event, many expressed that there could be additions to next year’s Fall Carnival.
Ashton Hernandez, a freshman at ABAC, said, “If I had the chance to add something, it would be by adding two or more rides and more food stands.”
