Student 1: “So many people take people having different political views, so, so serious, and that’s the main thing that is hurting us now. They have to learn that we are all human. We have different decisions, and the main thing is that I feel like we need to stop thinking about people’s political views and actually think about who we really are and what we need to be—as one.”

Student 2: “I was introduced to him through his Jubilee videos, and my first impression was that he was incredibly set in his beliefs. I felt like he had very little regard, if any, for the people that his beliefs would affect. I almost found it disheartening that so many people put emphasis on Charlie Kirk when there was a shooting in a CO high school that same day that got zero recognition. What happened to him was awful, and there are murders, and school shootings around the country every day, but no one ever cares about those victims. The only time they address this problem is when it’s a wealthy influencer.”

Student 3: “I was a former member and founder of a TPUSA [Turning Point USA] chapter at my high school, and I actually attended one of his events… when I first heard about it, I was very hurt and very upset that this is what the world has come to, and at all the hatred in America.”

Student 4: “We enjoy watching those [debates] and sometimes it’d be funny, sometimes it’d not. We learned a lot from him, and I learned a lot from him. And so, even though we all have different political views, [those differences] are not going to hurt us.”

Student 5: “As a country, we have deteriorated with what we currently believe based on what we used to believe. The whole ideas that we based our country off of, about freedom of speech and freedom of rights and freedom of belief, have completely gone out of the window.”

Editor’s Note: No matter what your opinions are, using violence to achieve your goals is unacceptable. The core tenet of democracy is the ability to freely speak out without fear. There are peaceful ways to express your views; for more info, see “Protests are underutilized in America.”
