In the very glitz and glamorous world of the “Housewives,” drama wins. From Beverly Hills to Miami, each franchise brings its unique show of catfights. Each franchise ranges from iconic to inconspicuous. Buckle up diva! It’s going to be one wild ride through the world of scandal, luxury, and champagne!

In the beginning

It was the summer before 6th grade. I was bored out of my mind, snacking my life away, trying to figure out what to watch. Luckily, I stumbled across “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and it was happily ever after. I finished all nine seasons and desperately needed more. So, I watched and watched and became obsessed with the sumptuous lifestyle these women carry. Therefore, as a die-hard housewives fan, I can very casually rank these with no problem.

5. “Real Housewives of Miami”

When it comes to sugar and spice, Miami takes the heat! These high profile ladies know how to balance business, drama, and, most importantly, family. In Nov. 2013, the show got canceled due to low ratings. However, these ladies managed to pull some strings and got a reboot with Peacock after eight long years. These ladies wanted to prove themselves more than they had to. Even after two huge weddings, three glamorous galas, and numerous catfights, these ladies still sit at #5 for me.

4. “Real Housewives of Atlanta”

These women will always have a special place in my heart, as they were the ones that started my love for this franchise. However, after Nene Leakes left the show in 2017 and then again in 2020, the show was never the same. At first, I was obsessed with how diverse these groups of women were. Historically, the show has featured only women of certain appearances, but this time, they were all women of color, which I loved. The drama is real, the laughs are endless, and the moments are truly unforgettable. I may be biased, but the OG Atlanta housewives will always be the best cast.

3. “Real Housewives of New Jersey”

In Italian households, family is everything, and the Real Housewives of New Jersey are no different. SImilar to the RHOA, I will always prefer the OG cast. I think that if the franchise still featured the Manzo family, I would 100% still be interested. Unfortunately, the feud between the Giudices and the Gorgas became very run-down and overused for the show, solidifying its spot in third place. However, Teresa’s table flip in season one’s finale will always be in my heart.

2. “Real Housewives of Dallas”

Maybe it’s because I’m from the South, or maybe it’s because I love brutally honest people, but I love the Dallas ladies. Although I am new to this franchise (i started and finished it during Christmas break 2023), i can honestly say that this is one of the best franchises i’ve seen. I love how southern they are and how crazy and free everyone is.  This group of women is very into society. So, for me, it was interesting to see how different southern charm is from good ol’ Georgia to Dallas. Unfortunately, after five seasons, the show “had” to be canceled due to “racist remarks” said in the show.

1. “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

Shortly after I finished watching “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” I branched out and decided to watch the Beverly Hills version, and it was the best choice i could have possibly made. This franchise is full of arguments, accusations, and, most importantly, bling. I love the Beverly Hills women. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards argue? Even after Lisa Vanderpump left because of the Juicy Juicy Apple Lucy incident, the show was still extremely entertaining, garnering its best rating yet. One very important fact to keep in mind also is that the storylines are always different, so each season you get something or someone new. With this, I can very proudly say that “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is hands down the best franchise.
