Warriors Take NBA Finals 2022

The 2022 NBA Playoffs have concluded with the Golden State Warriors winning game 6 in a 4-2 lead. This is the Warriors’ 4th NBA title since 2014 – 2015, and their first time after missing the playoffs in two consecutive seasons. Point Guard Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors was named the Bill Russel NBA Finals MVP for the first time in his 13-season career. Curry scored 34 points in game 6. The two teams playing in the playoffs came as a result of the preliminary NBA Play-In Tournament post-season tournament. The schedule for the 2022 playoffs was able to resume its normal April – June schedule for the first time since 2019, due to the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic causing postponements. Teams in the Eastern Conference: Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks with the Boston Celtics advancing to the playoffs. Teams in the Western Conference: Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, with the Golden State warriors advancing to the playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets, L. A Clippers and San Antonio Spurs clinched play-in berths but were not able to advance to the playoffs.
