ABAC’s 50th annual fundraiser held by alumni and corporate sponsors begins February 18th through the 25th. A Week for ABAC’s sponsors are categorized in levels. The categories are Magna Cum Laude, Presidents List, Deans List, and Friend of ABAC. All proceeds raised by this formal gala will go towards scholarships for students. This event’s auction items include gift baskets, family portrait sessions, and vacations.
A Week for ABAC, previously known as “An Evening for ABAC,” brings in approximately $100,000 each year. This past year, the gala accumulated $125,189, which resulted in 50 scholarships being funded.
The event typically includes a night of dancing, great food, and live music. However, this year things will run a bit differently due to COVID-19.
This once formal gala is now extended to a week long rather than one night, and will be virtual. A longer event means more items are needed to auction off–instead of 40 items there will be 100.
Due to the pandemic, ABAC implemented guidelines, outlined in the Spring 2021 COVID Plan, towards creating a safe alternative for their students. Not only are we celebrating helping our students, but we are also celebrating ABAC’s 113th birthday on February 20th.
